Our mission has emerged from our history.
The United Church of Colchester was formed in 1919 through a merger
of First Congregational Church and First Baptist Church, both of which were founded in the
early 1800's.
Today, the United Church of Colchester is affiliated with the American Baptist denomination, committed to bringing "Christ-centered, People-oriented" ministry to our
community and area. In addition we support local and regional ministries such as
CareNet Pregnancy Services and Fold Family Ministries, as well as cross-cultural
mission work.
